9:30 Early Drop Off
Camp opens at 9.30 for early drop off, campers will be given a warm welcome from our Cypher teachers!
10:00 Camp Starts! + Coding project time! Part One
Campers will start work on their coding projects, these are always focussed on cool topics and themes. In this first half, they’ll be introduced to the theme by their camp teachers and they’ll learn many cool and interesting facts about it.
11:00 Break
Morning break time with a chance to stretch their legs and have a short run around the playground. We also provide Campers with a small snack to help bring their energy back up for the rest of the morning.
11:15 Coding project time! Part Two
Now it’s back into the classroom to finish off their morning coding projects. Campers will have the chance to work on additional challenges and extra steps if they manage to complete their projects a little early.
12:15 Lunch
Campers start by having their lunch and chatting about what they’ve learnt that morning, and then have some free playtime to run around and make friends.
13:15 Hands-On STEAM Activity! Part One
In the afternoon, campers will be given an environmentally themed STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activity, this will vary from day-to-day and will have them working in small teams or independently to create a variety of projects.
14:15 Break
Afternoon break time with a chance to stretch their legs and have a short run around the playground. We also provide Campers with a small snack to help bring their energy back up for the rest of the afternoon. We all know that it’s harder to concentrate in the afternoons sometimes, which is why it’s so important to keep including small break times for Campers to recharge their brain batteries.
14:30 Hands-On STEAM Activity! Part Two.

Yes.
Children of different ages will be in the same classroom, however, the will be given age-appropriate activities and grouped with others their own age during challenges.
That being said, if you have siblings attending, or friends, please make a note at booking if they would like to be grouped together and we will facilitate this!

Children at a Cypher camp will use a variety of different technology and platforms during camps. Often, children will use either Scratch, p5.js or CoSpaces to complete a stand-alone coding project. Usually, this will be a game or animation that is related to our theme.
Their STEAM projects vary a little more from day to day, but during a week at camp children will often build and program one of our robots (Wunderkinds, Lego robots), program and use a Micro:bit, create an electronics project, and use their creativity in a more craft, or art focused activity (e.g. designing and making a board game).

We understand the vital role great teachers play in education. That’s why we carefully select, train, and support every Cypher teacher.
Our educators are experienced coding professionals and have a passion for working with children. With expertise in coding, computer science, digital art, and app development, they bring a mix of creative and technical skills to the classroom. This ensures every child finds inspiration and enjoys their coding journey.
All Cypher teachers undergo thorough vetting including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
